Ahead of elections, citizens are often confronted with complex, lengthy, or unclear party programmes. Partijplein is an online platform that aims to make this information more accessible, transparent, and user-driven. Instead of relying on predefined statements or traditional voting guides, it empowers users to ask their own questions and see what political parties actually say across multiple languages and in plain, understandable language.
In this session, Khaled Tamimy, founder and CEO of Social Technology Lab (STL) a public-interest R&D lab working at the intersection of technology, democracy, and societal impact, will first reflect on how technology shapes the way we access and interpret political information. He will then give a live demonstration of Partijplein, showing how citizens can explore topics they personally care about, compare party positions, and form their own informed views ahead of the elections.
