Nice Here is een informele plek om gedurfde ideeën uit te wisselen en nieuwe manieren te verkennen om onze steden… nou ja, leuker te maken! Elke maand een ander thema, nieuwe gesprekken, waardevolle connecties en we starten altijd met een gezamenlijke maaltijd van een lokale, duurzame cateraar. Het begint met een gesprek en eindigt met tastbare collectieve actie!

Op 16 januari vond de tweede editie plaats van Nice Here, een maandelijkse bijeenkomst waarin we nieuwe manieren onderzoeken om onze steden prettig, groen, sociaal… nice te maken.
In de editie van januari was het de beurt aan Aditi Singh. Ze is een community builder op zoek naar sociale vernieuwingen. In het Huis van Actief Burgerschap nam ze de aanwezige bezoekers mee in TimeBanking. Met als centraal idee: tijd is het nieuwe geld en waar we onze tijd aan besteden is daarom waardevol.

Nice Here with Aditi
On January 16 we had the the second edition of our monthly hangout for all who are interested in exploring new ways to make our cities… well, 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦!
TimeBanking: is an innovative approach to strengthening communities and fostering social connections. In this session, we delved into this fascinating concept, where time becomes the new currency, and everyone’s skills are valued equally. Aditi Singh, a community builder and social innovation enthusiast, guided us through the principles of equality, reciprocity, and mutual respect that underpin TimeBanking.
With all participants, we brought TimeBanking to life, through interactive games and experiments. We shared stories about successful TimeBanking initiatives and explored why and how we can establish one right here in Utrecht. It was a Nice Here to get inspired by the possibilities of transforming our neighbourhoods. Attendants left with practical tools to apply the magic of TimeBanking in their own community.
